As the youngest board member in the history of the 83-year-old organization, it is my honor to serve with the incredible oversight board and operational staff at the ACLU of Texas.
I was elected during an interesting — and ongoing — inflection point in the state and national conversations. For now, this experience is developing and the impact of my voice remains unmeasured.
I look up to the combined decades of civil liberties and policy experience of my peers and pray to better understand the moment we're in now — as well as how we got here — for the sake of the future.
